Chapter One: Enter Catori!

[Amy]

Catori walked along the first route slowly, taking in the sights. Not that they were all that different to the bushes and trees she was used to back home, but still. She was in a new region, and she was going to make the most of it regardless.

Rei, her Misdreavus, floated alongside absentmindedly. The ghost pokemon seemed to take little notice of her friend's quiet humming, and instead focused on the surroundings, like she was keeping watch. It wasn't usually Rei that felt the need to be on the lookout, but Catori simply assumed she was just getting used to the new region.

+So, where exactly are we headed?+ the Misdreavus asked, glancing over to Catori, who was now singing to herself happily.

"It's a long shot, but I say why not, if I say forget it-- Huh?" The girl blinked slowly. The ghost pokemon sighed, repeating herself, and Catori smiled and nodded happily. "I dunno."

+You don't know.+ Rei clarified, sounding a tad annoyed.

"We'll go where the wind takes us!"

+There's no wind.+

"Shut up."

The trainer with his new pokemon walked down from the Acorn Town exit into Route 1. He sighed pulling his map out, wondering how far the first Gym is.

Alexxander: How much longer do you think Lotad?

The Lotad had been released from inside his ball.

Lotad: Lotaad.

Alexxander: That's right, but we need to train first

He was looking for other trainers and wild pokemon to capture and train.

[Amy]

Catori stuck her tongue out at Rei, who merely laughed, shaking her head- which was pretty much her entire ghostly body. The two of them carried on walking, Rei taking in the surroundings and Catori happily singing to herself, low enough so she was the only one who'd hear it.

The teen blinked, coming to a stop. She could hear voices nearby, getting closer. She turned off the way they'd been following, and went towards where she thought the voices were coming from. Rei simply followed, puzzled.

Eventually, Catori came to stand a few feet away from another teen, with a Lotad. She stayed silent for a moment, then grinned. "Hey there." As she spoke, she waved a little.

He was looking back at his map when he heard a voice.

Voice: Hey there.

He turned around, he saw another teen. Possibly a trainer.

Alexxander: Hey. My name is Alexxander.

He spoke as he put his map away and walked towards the girl.
He held his hand out.

Alexxander: This is Lotad.

He saw a big rock, he put his back to it, leaning on it.

[Amy]

Catori nodded, shaking the guy's hand quickly. "Hey, I'm Catori, and this is Rei." She motioned to her friend, who was hovering next to her silently, smiling at Alexxander and the Lotad. Catori then turned her attention the grass and water pokemon, crouching down onto her knees.

"Aw, he's adorable." she grinned, looking back to Alexxander for a moment. "How long has Lotad been your partner?"

He nodded

Alexxander: Hi Catori, Is that a Misdreavus?

He pointed to Rei. Then he pulled his notepad which he carried everywhere with him out of his pocket, then pulled his pencil out of his pocket too. He started sketching the Misdreavus, shading the darker spots and when he finished he tore the paper sheet from the pad then handed it to Catori. Then replied to her question.

Alexxander: I only just got him today from Professor Copey in Acorn Town.

He pointed in the direction of where Acorn Town lay.

Alexxander: I've only just got Lotad and he already trusts me.

The Lotad was walking around his ankles. Then rested at his side.

[Amy]

Catori nodded happily. "Yup, that's right." she answered, standing up straight again. She watched with interest as he drew in the notebook, and then smiled as he passed her the paper. She looked down at the sketch in awe, and then back to Alexxander. "Wow, this is amazing. You have a real talent."

Rei nodded in agreement, happy with his rendition of her on paper. Catori nodded as he explained he had just been given his Lotad, grinning. "Yeah, he definitely likes you already." she agreed.

A short girl with tight black shorts and a long sleeved blue shirt stumbled across the path of two trainers. A pokeball flipped out of her hand and she waved her arms around trying to grab it before it hit the ground. It dropped and a flash of red helped introduce a grass pokemon. Bellsprout danced about, winking playfully at it's trainer, Tamiko Shoai. "Bellsprout!" she growled, running over to her best friend and pokemon. "Are you alright? I'm so stupid!" By the tone of her voice, you'd think she was actually angry at herself. Tamiko stroked the top of bellsprout's head and looked at the two trainers with wide eyes. "Ooooh, haiii!" she said with much excitement. She smiled, stood straight up and waved to them, kindly. Tamiko spotted lotad, a pokemon she was familiar with seeing. Then she spotted an obvious ghost-type pokemon. She pulled out her pokedex and held it infront of her, aiming at the new pokemon. "Misdreavus; a ghost-type" the pokedex said in a masculine voice, followed by a brief discripition of misdreavus. "Oh!" Tamiko exclaimed and got a bit closer to misdreavus, in fasination. Then she looked over the lotad, the pokemon that helped other pokemon who could not swim cross bodies of water. She smiled sweetly.

He smiled. Then saw a red flash from the corner of his eye.

Alexxander: What was that?

He turned around, Lotad stood up, looking to where his master was looking.

Lotad: Lotaad.

He walked over to where he thought he saw a flash, Lotad followed being curious and defences was up too. When Alexxander reached where he thought he saw the flash a Bellsprout stood up infront of him. He jumped back half scared half wanting to punch it for giving him a scare.

Alexxander: GAH!! What is that thing?

He directed the question to Catori. Then looked up, he saw a trainer. He had a puzzled look on his face.

Alexxander: Is this your pokemon? What IS it? A.. Walking vine with a head?

He looked at Lotad. Strolling around the Bellsprouts legs or rather vines was his partner, Lotad wanted a battle by the sound of it when it got back to its Master's side.

[Amy]

Catori blinked and followed Alexxander's gaze to the pokemon, and smiled. Bellsprout. She was about to take a step forward, when she noticed the pokemon's trainer, and her smile grew wider as the girl caught up with her pokemon. "Hey." she laughed, as the girl's Pokedex explained Misdreavus out loud.

Rei watched the machine carefully for a moment, then went back to floating around Catori's head slowly. The teen turned back to Alexxander briefly. "Bellsprout's a grass-type pokemon." she said quickly, wondering for a moment if he'd ever considered using his Pokedex to find such information out.

Catori turned back to the newcomer. "I'm Catori, and this is Rei." she smiled warmly. Her ghost pokemon nodded in response to her name, smiling also.

But there was no time for the group to get to know each other. Out of nowhere a wild Pidgey popped out. It was pecking at the ground for worms. Who would battle it? Or would anyone battle it at all. So will anyone battle it or just ingore it.


Pidgey level 5 appeared. It's attacks are Tackle and Sand Attack.

[alexx]

Alexxander nodded.

Alexxander: I don't have a pokedex yet..

He spun around, he saw the Pidgey, and looked at Lotad.

Lotad: Lotaad.

Alexxander: Lotad absorb!

The Lotad followed the command and absorbed part of Pidgey's life. He then threw a pokeball, he was trying to catch the Flying pokemon.

The attack wasn't very effective. The Pidgey knocked the PokeBall back and it then used a Sand Attack on the Lotad. It was hoping to prevent the Lotad from being able to see it.

Lotad turned away in time. Shielding its eyes.

Alexxander: Lotad Tackle!

The grass/water pokemon lunged at Pidgey, hitting it what seemed pretty effective.
