As the Espeon shot her Shadow Ball at the Gym Leader's Staryu, the starfish-like Pokemon redirected it's Rapid Spin and dove straight into the water, narrowly evading the higher leveled Pokemon's vicious attack. The Water Gym Leader smirked slyly before with a single flick of her wrist the attack of Rapid Spin spun back up to the surface, water reflecting off the Pokemon as if it was a shooting star among a nebula, water rushing off of the aquatic creature as it aimed the attack at the still air-born nekomata Pokemon ; it's accurate aim spinning sharply at it's opponent's vulnerable, exposed stomach.

Shady not knowing where the star shaped pokemon was scanned the water before she was hit. Flying backwards as she rested on her stomach for a moment before getting up and looking around. Looking at Shyara as for guidance.
Shyara looked at Shady as she thought smiling softly she looked around the room then back at the battle field as she thought of a move she could do. "Shady...use...your Psybeam" she called watching the other trainer as well as the pokemon

Landing with the grace of a Gym Leader's Pokemon the Staryu rested upon one of the four platforms floating upon the water's surface that raced with ripples. Carefully watching both Shyara and her Espeon, Cassie shifted for a moment and remained silent until the Espeon finally used it's Psybeam attack. However, due to Shyara's hesitance in that moment the Staryu had time to tense and await an order and Cassie time to ponder what strategy to put into play. So, as the time came, Cassie easily barked her order to her Pokemon, prepared to fight to defend her badge from any trainer. "Staryu, Rapid Spin!" came her voice and in perfect sync the starfish Pokemon leaped into the air, forming the attack of a Rapid Spin and overshooting the Psybeam by leaping over the attack with it's aim now headed towards Shady in a direct attack from above.

Cassie watched as her Pokemon spined hoping the attack would hit.

Shyara smiled "Shady dodge the attack then use your Shadowball attack" she shouted with a smile as she watched her pokemon.
Shady nodded and jumped out of the way before firing a rather large shadow ball at her opponent. Shyara closed her eyes as she quickly thought of another attack

There was an inner wince as the gym leader watched her Pokemon's attack miss. With her Staryu only being a minor level of 12 and the Espeon visibly stronger in level distance, giving it an edge on speed as well as attack, Cassie could feel her prayers running dry as the Espeon dodged. Worse yet, her Pokemon had no time to dive back within the pool's depths and evade the Shadow Ball as the rather large orb of dark energy struck her Pokemon dead in the center, causing the Staryu to fly backwards and into the water. "Staryu!" Cassie shouted in distress as her Pokemon did not reappear but a tense moment later before the Pokemon floated to the top, unconscious and defeated by the stronger Pokemon in a single critical hit. With a slight bite to her lower lip, Cassie drew the starfish's Pokeball out and returned her Pokemon with a sweet purr to it. "You did wonderfully Staryu.." she whispered before her gaze turned to Shyara in a partial glare. "This Pokemon won't be so easy to beat, that I promise you!" she hissed before drawing a different Pokeball ; her last.

She gave a nod to the Pokeball before a blast of white vapor was released from the ball, only to materialize as a Vapor on top of one of the floating white platforms, holding itself with pride.

Shyara looked at the pokemon then looked at Shady. Smiling softly she looked at Shady then back at the new pokemon trying to think if she wanted to return her pokemon or just keep going with Shady. She didnt want her friend to feint but she didnt want to seem weak either.

Shyara shook her head "No Shady you can stay out for now." she said with a smile "Shady use your shadow ball agian" she said with a smirk as she looked at Cassie then at the pokemon that she had brought out *If not I will bring out Mareep* she thought with a smile

Once more, as Shyara spoke the Vaporeon tensed in preperation for the attack before the Shadow Ball was fired by the opposing Pokemon. Knowing quite well that due to their level difference that he could most likely only afford to take one of the attacks fired by the his current enemy but with his surprisingly high agility, the Vaporeon jumping into the water and disappeared within it's depths with ease, the Shadow Ball shooting past him in a miss. Cassie stood silently at the other side of the gym, knowing full well that her Pokemon knew precisely what strategy to exercise.

Swimming beneath the water, the Vaporeon felt it's body charge with immense power as he swam, only halting after he was beneath the platform that Shady stood upon. With a animalistic smirk, the Vaporeon swiftly darted behind Shady and jumped out of the water, firing a powerful Hyper Beam towards the other Eevee evolution at an extremely close angle.

Shady was hit with the attack and fell backwards into the water gripping hold of the platform with her jar as she struggled to get up again. Shaking her fur once she was back on she looked at the Vaporeon and shook again wincing slighlty as she had hit her paw on the platform as she fell over. Shyara was shocked and was tense "Shady use Psybeam" she shouted out wanting to get to her pokemon quickly and if this didnt work she would recall her pokemon for now.

Taking no time to relax his motions as the Vaporeon jumped back upon the water as Shady nearly fell into the pool entirely but now stood upon the white floating platform, it's purple fur drench which would impact the Nekomata-based Pokemon's speed. However, as the aquatic monster stood upon the water's surface, he easily slipped back into the water once more with time to spare as the Espeon's Psybeam overshot it's target once more. However, as Vaporeon dove back into the water, he did not go far past the surface since after the Psybeam was clear the Pokemon stuck it's head above water and opened it's mouth slightly, firing a jet of water at Shady in the use of Water Gun.

Shady backed up as she was hit again. Shivering as this time she fell completely into the water sinking down into the depths.
Shyara gasped "SHADY" she screamed out her eyes wide with panic as she watched the water. A few moments later Shady surfaced again climbing back onto the platform a little weak but still able to stand its ground.
"Shady come back" Shyara said as she pulled out a pokeball. "Mareep go" she shouted as her Espeon came to her side laying down shivering.
