The Kyoto Region offers the following selection of starter pokemon. All are Level 5.[/i]
Mareep

Has a 30% chance of inflicting an attacker with Paralyze if Mareep is attacked by a Direct Attack.

Lotad

Swift Swim
As long as the weather is Rainy, Lotad's Speed is doubled.
Rain Dish
If the weather is Rainy, Lotad recovers 1/16th of their max HP between turns.
Attacks: Astonish, Growl, Absorb
Ralts

Synchronize
If Ralts becomes affected by Burn, Poison, or Paralyze, the attacker receives the same status condition. (If Ralts is badly poisoned, the attacker is only normally poisoned.)
Trace
When Ralts is sent out, its Ability is replaced with an enemy's Ability (chosen at random in a Double Battle). (Cannot copy Wonder Guard or Multitype.)

SLEEP conditions lasts for half as long.
Flash Fire
Activates when user is hit by a damaging Fire-type move (including Fire-type Hidden Power). Once activated, user’s Fire-type moves deal 1.5 times damage. While this ability is in effect, this Pokémon is immune to damage from Fire-type attacks.

When sunny, the Pokémon’s Speed doubles. However, Speed will not double on the turn weather becomes Clear Skies.

Machop

Attack raises to 1.5 times when induced with a status (BURN, PARALYZE, SLEEP, POISON, FREEZE). BURN’s effect of lowering Attack is not applied.
No Guard
The accuracy of all moves known by all Pokémon on the field raises to 100%
