Kairi's first Partner

Kairi didn't really know the Professor all that well. She and her mother had just moved here a month ago from where they had been living in the Sinnoh region. "I guess I'll be meeting him or her today then," Kairi thought.

She put her Poketch around her wrist, as she went and got her bike. She peetled it down to the lab. Once she got there she chainned her bike up against the fence. She then walked up the stairs and rung the door bell. She then stood back waiting for an answer.

OOC: I have permission for a shiny female Ralts. But if I'm being greedy a normal one will be ok.

The Professor heard the knock and instantly opened the door.
Standing there was a young girl; about 12.

"Hello, there. I suspect you are looking forward to receiving your first Pokemon."


...... She looked at him endearingly, he awaited a response.

"Yea. I am," Kairi walked inside the lab,"I'm Kairi Hill. I just moved here over a month ago. I came from Twinleaf Town in Sinnoh," Kairi explainned to the Professor,"Now what are the starters I can pick from? Can I take a look at them first before making up my mind?"

"I meant meet all of them in person, first before I make up my mind. A piece of paper doesn't tell me what they are like. So can I meet each of the Pokemon?" Kairi asked.

The Professor chuckled to himself.
"Ha ha, why didn't you say."

He took 3 poke balls our of his lab coat pockets and ejected the content from within each one.
A white beam flashed to the floor and there appeared 3 Pokemon;
A shy Mareep that hid behind the professor's long coat, A lotad that was lively bouncing around,
And finally a proud looking ralts standing tall, with a cute smile, this ralts was unusual because it was shiny.

He pointed at the ralts and said "This is one of my prized Pokemon, it is rare because it is shiny, i found this Pokemon wondering in the forest whilst i was coming back to town. Anyway enough talking from me, who do you want?"

Kairi looked over each Pokemon. The Mareep was too shy. It wouldn't last in battles and wouldn't be good for contests. The Lotad really was out of the question as it wasn't very cute, and it had way too much engery. That left the Ralts. It was perfect. It was cute and a rare colored Pokemon,"Hi there I'm Kairi. Would you like to be partners?"

Ralts thought about it and agreed.

"Ok. I like the Ralts. Can I have her?" Kairi asked the Professor.

''Well she seems to like you back.'' Said the Professor.
''I never say no, here take her.'' he said it with a smile.

He handed over the Pokeball, and watched them play.

"goodbye take good care of her."

"Don't worry I will," Kairi said as she grabbed a Pokedex,"Come on Ralts let's go," she picked her up and saying bye to the Professor she pocketed her Pokedex and Ralts' ball and left the lab heading for the Pokemart then Route 1 after.
