Meeting new friends?

As they leave the center, Christy and Flamer see something on the edge of town, a sign, that says "Ruins ahead." And look at each other, Christy smiling deviously, and Flamer looking to battle something else.

"We should meet our newest friend." She said, after a moment. Taking out the Arbok ball, in a moment a flash of red turned into the purple snake.

Christy held out a rice ball, and offered it to him. "Here you go, you must be hungry..." She smiled.

The arbok quickly took the ball into his tail, and ate it in one bite, looking for another.

Christy smiled, and said "You need a nickname...." Thanking, as the Arbok and Flareon greeted each other, sniffing noses and quiet hissing from the snake.

Scythe. "Scythe shall be your name..." Christy looked at him, and nodded. The newly named Arbok looked at her a moment, and nodded, slowly.

"Alright, Flamer, Scythe, lets get going. Were going to train." She smiled, and returned Scythe to his ball. Flamer moved in head of her, and started to the ruins. Again growling at everything in their path.

A loud cry was heard through the ruins as the trainer approached and a Gastly within frantically began to fade out of sight. Not due to the sight of the trainer and her aggressive Flareon, but because of a Kadabra whom stood in the middle of the ruins, standing in a proud position with it's head up high. Plenty of these ghost pokemon here were lower level and easy to beat.. That was no way to earn more towards her power! No.. No she needed someone worthy, a different Pokemon other then these idiotic Shuppet and Gastly..
About to wonder back into the ruins, the female psychic Pokemon stopped upon sighting the trainer and her Flareon. Perfect! Perfect indeed. She could defeat them and that would certainly send her levels soaring!
So with that, a Psybeam aimed at the Flareon came from the darkness and Kadabra stepped into the light.. Though it's fur was rather oddly colored.

The Flareons eyes widened, as he jumped quickly out of the way of the phybeam, having to sidestep and jump to the left. The flareon didn't get any smells off of the Kadabra, but as soon at the attack passed, he saw her, and jumped into a offensive stance, hackles raised, and a deep growl could be heard all around.

Christy jumped back farther, away from the attack her hand on her heart, shocked that such a powerful attack had come unbidden and from the dark. "Alright Flamer, I think your the best option for this one. Use Flame thrower!" She said loudly, pointing straight at the psychic pokemon.

As the flames grew around his maw, he stepped up, and let loose a massive fire line straight at her, flames licking the ground on their way toward her.

The wild Kadabra's eyes widened slightly as the Flamethrower attack ran straight for her but swiftly used teleport as her body was nearly engulfed by flames. What a powerful attack! As to be expected from someone she'd consider an opponent worthy of her caliber. The teleport landed her beside the Flareon, looking to him and giving an irritated cry before a blade made up of deep purple shaded psychic energy formed infront of her before shooting at Flamer in a close ranged Psycho Cut attack!

OOC: Sorry it took so long to write back...I wrote a really good one last night, but my comp freaked out, and died...Haha.

With such a close range attack, there was no dodging, as Flamer soon found out, while tumbling back wards in a rolling way, almost he hit the wall of the old ruin, but jumped out of it, landing steadily on his paws. Growling, upset, and angry, he glared hatred at the Kadabra.

Christy watched in horror as the attack struck home, and watched as Flamer came out of the backlash with a jump, landing nimbly on his feet, she ordered "Use sunny day! Light up the corners!" Her thoughts on helping his see this new foe easier, as she could use teleport, and would make a strong addition to any team.

Flamer nodded, as his orange and yellow coat grew brighter, seeming to glow with the power of the sun, just as the sun itself was doing, breaking through any cloud cover, and shining its rays down on this battle, lighting up the corners, and making his attacks that much more powerful.

Christy watched, and then said "Follow with an Ember!"

Flamer growled louder this time, as the glow quickly turned into flames, surrounding him, his maw forming more flames, he pointed his body at the Kadabra, and started to run straight at her, his attack combined with the sun, making a sort of comet, stretching from his body toward the psychic Pokemon fiercely.

The sunlight began to blind her and the Kadabra winced, shielding her eyes from the sunlight as her optics were so used to the darkness of the ruins, they had a difficult time adjusting. And the screeches of ghost Pokemon fleeing the shadows also irritated her sense of hearing, giving her no time to dodge the powerful ember that hit home in her stomach, forcing a cry from her muzzle.

It had been so long since she had been hit like that. It felt.. wonderful! A worthy opponent! Such battle lust brought her to her feet swiftly once more with a smile embracing her animalistic lips. This was going to be interesting. Once more, the Kadabra raised it's silver spoon into the air and a large psybeam attack shot towards the Flareon.

Being able to see, using the sunny day to his advantage, made him more apt to dodging the phybeam attack, swiftly moving to the left, and then moving closer to the right of the Kadabra.

Christy watched the face of the Kadabra turn from shock, to something close to...Joy? Maybe a battle rage, as she had seen before in a Blazkin. Her Blazkin for that matter...Silly thing...

She blinked, and said loudly "Flamer, use Firespin!" As the fiery pokemon nodded, his body once again covered in flames, encircled the Kadabra, this time the flames were higher, more spread, making it so the psychic pokemon couldn't teleport near by easily. His growl and the flames crackle making loud, echoing noises throughout the region.

Impossible to evade, the fire spin engulfed her and the Kadabra began to growl as her fur and skin burned even when exposed to this fire spin for a short while. But this was nothing for her! The female Kadabra's eyes began to glow red as she stood her ground, manipulating the fire spin and forcing it into dissipating via a Confusion attack! Maybe this Flareon wasn't so impressive after all, she pondered before teleporting behind the fire type Eevee evolution as she had once before.

And once again, a Psycho Cut formed and shot at Flamer with powerful concentrated psychic energy.

Expecting something of this nature, Flamer was ready, as was Christy with the command, "Use Ember!" As he turned, hardly being missed by the cutting attack, flames leaping from his maw, straight at the brown hued pokemon, close range making the attack, powered up by the sunny day, into a super hot flame attack, headed at the base of the opponent.

As the charged flames hurtled towards her like a rippling stream, the wild Kadabra went on her first instinct and released a focused mental blast of psychic energy in a Confusion attack. It cut through the fires and eliminated some…however, it also split the flames into multiple embers. She had never experienced that. Fascinating!

At close range, the embers pelted her body, searing her short fur. Her zen-like and meditative mind spared her from most of the pain, but the mental exertion she used for each of her attacks was beginning to wear on her. Nonetheless, there was a reason she dominated the ruins, and she would not give up so easily! The wild Kadabra swiftly jumped backward, closing her eyes and seeing with her mind. Lifting her arm sharply, she concentrated and sent another Psybeam towards the Flareon.

Flamer was able to dodge, and send even more flames into the area all at once, with a powerful flamethrower sent the entire area of thet ruins. Many more pokemon fled the area, as this attack got hot.

Christy backed away, stepping behind a wall for protection, thinking this battle getting out of hand, and this wild pokemon one of the most powerful she had come up against.

"Ok Flamer, lets do this!" She called loudly, as Flamers body began to glow and flames circled him, as he started a fire spin attack!

The Kadabra took a moment to watch the Flareon begin another Fire Spin attack. Once she had judged where the attack would hit, she teleported out of the way. She knew that with her opponent surrounded by flames, she would not be able to get close. Instead, she moved to the edge of the area before letting loose a powerful Psybeam.

Before the psybeam could be sent, Flamer switched directions, following the Kadabra in its pursuit to get out of the way. He met half way with the powerful psybeam attack, going right through it with minimal damage and continued the super charged attack straight at the still focusing opponent. The sun shone down, bright for a final move, strengthening the Flareon with all the might of the sun, making flames higher and more heated. Flamer let out a growl that sounded sort of like a howl, as he barreled at the pokemon.
