Kicklighter walked up a lone path. He moved very slowly. He took in the beauty of the area. Looking at the lab he thought about what Pokemon he truly desired. What he would really want is a Horsea, but he didn't know if they would be offering that Pokemon. While in deep thought about what he wanted for his starter he hadn't realized that he was already at the door. Being the polite person that he is he slowly reached his hand up and knocked on the door. "Hmm" He thought aloud." It could be a good idea to just start with a different Pokemon. Maybe a houndour or something." Although, it would be nice if they did offer a Horsea since that was his favorite Pokemon.

How busy they were lately!
On top of receiving the newest batch of young little starters, they had a few smaller Pokemon on their way as well. "This is more work then we thought it would be, huh Miltank?" a female assistant muttered, a Miltank standing beside her though while the Pokemon's trainer looked completely exhausted, the motherly Pokemon gazed down at three small Eevee snuggled up in a little cushy pillow with a feminine glow about her. How fun this was!
"At least we're done for now, while they're asleep.." she whispered but as she almost collapsed upon one of the chairs within the laboratory, a wince came upon her face when the sound of knuckles rapping upon the glass door echoed through the room. No rest for the weary.. the assistant thought with a sigh but, kept a true smile upon her lips as she wondered to the door, opening it and putting an index finger to her lips as a signal to lower his voice whenever speaking.
"Welcome. What can I help you with?" she inquired, kindly gesturing for him to enter the lab.

He looked at the assistant as he thought to himself for a second. He tried to speak, but couldn't find the words. His shyness started to show. He thought for another second then said, " Hello I am here to start a new journey." He smiled feeling accomplished. he started to speak once more, " I was just wondering what kinda Pokemon you have to offer for new trainers." He had hoped that she had a Horsea. Although, he figured they wouldn't stray away from their typical starters. He was prepared to think of a second choice.
He looked around the lab as if he had never been in one. He noticed the three little Eevees and smiled. He though to himself about how cute they looked. However, he was here for his first Pokemon so he could do something he failed to do in Hoenn, and that is to take the gym challenge, and Hopefully become the champion of the region.

The assistant giggled slightly at the male's apparent shyness before wondering over to the steel counter to retrieve several average pokeballs from a drawer. "Our starters huh? You don't look like a beginning trainer," she said with a kind smile before setting each Pokeball down upon the counter, the partially transparent balls revealing each Pokemon. "Well, all are level five and we have a total of seven ; Mareep, Lotad, Machop, Starly, Oddish, Ralts, and Houndour," she stated with another gesture to simply pick whichever appealed to his tastes.

He smirked slightly. " Well you might say I've had some experience." He looked at his choices. He thought about starting over, and maybe even with a different class of Pokemon, one that he never really trained. "I think I'll go with Houndour." He smiled. He looked up to the assistant. "Yeah, Houndour is my choice." He said with a smile on his face.

The assistant gave a sure nod as he spoke, picking up the pokeball containing Houndour and placing it within his hand. "Houndour it is then! This little Pokemon's been a popular choice lately, I hear they're a bit rough to train but worth it," she said and began to dig in another open drawer upon the counter, retrieving a small Pokedex along with three empty, average Pokeballs. "These are items we give beginning trainers like you, you only get free stuff for the lab once you know," she jokingly stated with a warm smile. "Please do well and be safe then, sir," she said with a slight bow as she gave him the items.

He smiled as he took hold of his new Pokemon. " It was my understanding that they are worth training, and I think I'm up for the challenge." He took the Pokedex and the Pokeballs. Turning around he waved as he left the lab to start his new adventure.
