Shit, she thought, as they came up to the chasm in the cave floor. “That explains the lack of company we’ve had for a while,” she responded flatly. Before she had time to even think what now, she was caught in the familiar embrace that so far only led to flight. It was over almost immediately, and she was easily on the ground before she knew it.
After Razz released her, she spun to him, only to see that he’d distanced himself from her already. Fawn glared at him, catching her breath. The audacity…didn’t she just warn him about this?
Still, it wasn’t like she didn’t see it coming. She didn’t bring any flying types. Not that she owned any, but she still could’ve taken one from the lab. A rookie mistake, she thought disgusted with herself. Given the chance, she was sure she could’ve fashioned another way through; but his way was clearly more efficient.
The things I would do, with physical abilities like that, she mused, with mild jealousy. So she just shook her head. “Showoff,” she said casually, flipping her hair back. “I’ll let that occurrence slide, because it actually made sense. Enjoy your genitals,” she said generously, amusement on her lips.
The transition from the cave to outside was a remarkable difference in lighting, even though it was nighttime, and a bit overcast. Cooling down from their romp through Suko was abetted by the chilly atmosphere ahead. She pulled her sweater sleeves back down, and crossed her arms for warmth. Her skin prickled slightly as she rubbed her arms...
Fawn stopped in her tracks almost the same time as he did. She eyed him slightly ahead, and stark still, just before she gazed at yet another tower, though this one significantly taller than the first they had visited in the region. Its metallic outside rang true of its name, the structure stretching into the sky, and shining, even at night. A cold chill ran through her yet again, but this one felt more promising.
She looked back at Razz when he addressed her, the difference in his gaze not going past her. She nodded once at his assessment. The logic-driven tactician didn’t believe much in the way of intuition, but she did trust that he was referring to the same things she noticed. The air was too heavy, the wind too constant; something was off in their surroundings, and every sign indicated that the Silver Tower was the right destination.
An ecstatic buzz went through her body, as she weighed their options. If she had any qualms about heights, she would be nervous about what was coming next; but that wasn’t the issue. Right now, she was feeling surprisingly positive about the location. The relatively narrow, enclosed space was ideal for a stealthy takedown. After identifying the correct floor, and scouting the target, the capture would be basic. But snags in plans not only occurred, but were almost inevitable, and they needed a backup plan. She was working on it.
“I don’t know if you’re aware of this, but the job couldn't be happening in a better location if we'd chosen it ourselves,” she said, walking up to Razz with a confident expression. “Even if the trainer doesn't stay in the confined tower, we’re in the middle of nowhere and in prime position for an ambush when they exit.” Her eyes scanned the area as she spoke, for areas of trees and other cover.
“I don’t recommend going in there just yet, if we can help it,” Fawn added, referring to their imminent exhaustion. “I propose we stake out here until daylight, catch a few hours of sleep in shifts, and let the target make the first move.”
Though the calmness in her expression was routine, it belied the adrenaline coursing through her, and she was not sure that she would sleep so easily. Frustrating as the waiting game was, she knew rushing was one of the worst mistakes anyone could make. Perhaps that was even the downfall of the members preceding them on this mission. Either way, haste was not going to be the reason they failed, if she had anything to say about it.

As much as Fawn had no care to relay her emotions upon her outer exterior, Razz completed the task enough for the both of them with a bright smile as Fawn began to speak. A prime location..? How lucky could one get? Especially one that had never been on a mission such as this, and was rather proud of the fact as well. And now that Fawn mentioned it, Razz paused for a moment to follow Fawn's gaze to their sides in search of possible cover. Both sides seemed efficient enough for cover with tall enough grass and trees sprouting from the ground with tall glory. He certainly had no earthly clue on how to cloak them but, had faith that Fawn would come up with some sort of solution that hid them both from sight.. I wonder.. he still pondered with a slight frown and glance towards the strands of hair falling in front of his shoulders and his jacket that purposely fell to his elbows in an improper yet stylish wear. His blaring red jacket could be shed but his long hair was to be a possible issue in a landscape of green, much less be a shadow in an ambush.
"Am ambush..? Like.. How..?" the general inquired with a curious look upon his facial expression with a loud yawn after wards, pearly white fangs glaring in the mild cascade of moonlight the lunar orb hovering within the night's domain blessed them with. The moon would be their only witness to this crime, and hopefully this new trainer would not strike him with the doughty nature he had originally envisioned he or she as. He frowned upon Team Darkness heavily but upon finding that a trainer stole away their possible catch to hopefully provide the Pokemon with a safe life, and furthermore carrying out this operation in a bloodless manner, it gave him slight hope for the team's possible all together failure. Now, Razz prayed silently to the moon that the trainer captured the Suicune for their own benefit and not an act of kindness... But now, it's impossible to avoid stealing that Suicne back.. Their entire travel together would have been for complete and utter naught if Razz chose to purposely betray their plan.
You also can't parry Fawn.. the man mentally sighed. Physically, Fawn was like any other human ; easy to kill, especially with the heavy weapon he carried. But, as easy as the thought was at first, Razz found himself more and more hesitant towards the idea regardless of what stunt was pulled to induce the mental suggestion. No, Razz could not verbally parry nearly anything Fawn threw, and that was quite the misfortune on his part. "And.." Razz began to add but glanced other to the nearest tree first, a fairly large oak that provided a mild yet still visible shadow. So before continuing, the general found himself swiftly hurrying under the oak's shadowy blanket that seemed to make his newly found emerald eyes glow like they were the actual jewel. Placing his back against the tree and sliding downwards until he rested upon a patch of the tall grass.
His eyes once more traveled over Fawn as they had the first meeting they had together, her lovely feminine figure reflecting within his verdant pools that currently clouded what his mind must've been contemplating. But, it became appearant as to what when he spoke, the reason for him distancing himself was also relevant. "Fawn.. You're about.. five four or something.. I can't imagine you jumping somebody in an ambush.." Razz stated with a voice close to blunt as he halted examining his female companion, eyes resting upon her yet far from meeting her eyes. What? He couldn't imagine it, and he was extremely imaginative. "No offense or anything!" Razz quickly added and threw his hands upwards and into the air in an act of defense. It was rather ironic when the man with the crimson red chainsaw felt like the one forced upon the defensive role between them both.
And that's a little violent isn't it? he also wished to add though felt he'd receive the look of 'are you an idiot?' from her, inducing his new sudden silence after his already slightly offensive inquires.

“An ambush,” she repeated, giving him a sidelong glance. “We lie in coverage, knock the trainer out, and take the Pokemon by brute force…if the person exits before we’ve properly scouted.” She would go ahead and assume that he was really tired, because if he truly didn’t know what to do when the trainer came out, then that was possibly a bigger problem on her hands. The fact that he did not have much field experience caused a flare of irritation to rise in her once again, but she buried it for the sake of focus.
Fawn looked up at the Tower. She’d never seen it before today, but she knew that it had four stories, a central staircase, and no inner access to the roof. The floor plan she had studied some time at the base was pretty basic. If they blocked the stairwell, then the trainer would truly have no where to run…An uneasy feeling came over her, and when she turned back to Razz, he was nothing but an eerie pair of eyes and a dark silhouette under a tree.
She watched him studying her. What? She thought self righteously. Then she looked away in annoyance. She snapped her gaze back to him at his assessment. What was he trying to say? Though she avoided physical confrontation whenever possible, Fawn was not above underhanded tactics; and when ever she did engage in a fight, she always made sure she made the first (and usually only) hit.
But then at his apologetic expression, she calmed down. “Well, you don’t keep a face this pretty, jumping every target in sight,” she allowed, looking at her nails, then back at him with a blank smile. She sounded vain. But it was true.
“Besides, there’s more than one way to ambush someone,” she scoffed. “I assumed you of all people would know that…” Isn’t that what Pokemon were for? He owned a chainsaw-shaped one for Arceus sake. On top of that, Razz himself was a veritable weapon of sorts, that abomination of the laws of physics. And she told him so.
“Why, are you volunteering to jump the trainer?” Fawn asked, settling down next to the man in the shaded patch of grass.
If she could help it, that wouldn’t be necessary. The range of Pokemon attacks at her disposal was varied, but her Pokemon also had specific status changers tailored just for such missions, and if all went well, no fighting would take place...between humans.
“Just try not to get hit when I send Oddish out to finish the job,” she said absentmindedly, studying the windows of the tower.
Herself, jumping a trainer, she thought frowning. Honestly. She heard a Pokemon baying in the distance, as she dug through her bag. “You never want a mission to come to that,” she said, giving him a heads up. “It’s much cleaner if we can take it by stealth, but that’s not really an option unless we get some rest. If all goes well, the target will stay in place long enough for us to get our wits, and then we can proceed inside.”
She pulled out a pair of binoculars and aimed at a window where she thought she saw movement. “I’ll stay up the first shift,” she stated. “You should try and get some rest,” she finished, not really caring what he did, as long as he didn’t distract her.

A rather relieved sigh escaped his lips as Fawn did not react as haughtily as he may of expected and even gave a mild chuckle at her comment about her own facial features. She was a female to him, not incredibly attractive, certainly not! Now if he could convince her to loosen up just a bit and simply relax and turn that boring pale blonde hair of her's into a solar flare of red then maybe he'd be interested. But for now, where nothing of the sort was even vaguely relevant to their already sketchy relationship, he would just comment on it with the invisible chimerical dream that was a red Fawn. "You really can't, and you seriously don't look very violent despite the fact that you want to neuter me but~"he paused to drag the word out slightly and drag his black gloved hand through one of his bright red locks. "It would really be an improvement to your appearance if you added some flare to it. I could always dye your hair red," Razz purred in more of a joking mannerism yet, the atmosphere was still around him that stated he was anything but, and that one day Fawn's shampoo may be replaced with red permanent hair dye.
But after the comment, he listened and trained his emerald shaded eyes once more upon his dear companion, feeling as if each word she said would be noteworthy for later on. But with lack of sketch paper it was to be that Razz left his memory that was considerably questionable to be his 'notebook', leading up to the feeling that a similar conversation would appear within their history once more, especially in the near future of their current mission.
Still gazing at her as she withdrew a set of binoculars, he sighed and leaned up even further against the tree bark. As if he could sleep with his nerves so highly riled into a sense of nervousness and excitement. A crime was a crime to him yet, this certainly kept a rush of adrenaline pumping through his veins to a point where he looked at Fawn with an almost puzzled gaze to inquired how the female could retain her excitement.. If she had any at least. "I could jump somebody," the general began once she had focused herself upon Silver Tower but the addition to that sentence came swiftly, "I'm just not that kind of person.." he said with a mischievous smirk that once more flashed his fangs. Reaching for his chainsaw to relocate it to the other side of the tree, the male released a long sigh before literally leaping upon Fawn and knocking her to the ground, embracing her once more with a cheerful laugh escaping his jowls as he tightened his grip slightly in a hug as he laid upon the grass, Stanton forcefully dragged down with him. "Like that, you know," he said with a wink.
It would've been very visible to anyone that this man was making a serious attempt to drive Fawn absolutely insane. With another sigh, one of slight relaxation, Razz met her eyes sharply with one arm draped loosely over her figure. "First floor, basically the ground floor. Fighting toward the left with what seems to be a Glameow, or something like that. I guess if we blocked off the stairwell it'd be a good plan but, there's the exit.. and I guess the entrance too. If your Oddish releases a spore then it could be dangerous for one of us if it isn't contained. Unless you intend to go up to the roof. That's a basic assessment of our target," the male stated firmly yet with content happiness sparkling brightly in his voice. "Now can we just lay here miss tightass?" Razz added and finally released her and turned over upon his back, taking the Ditto's empty pokeball and aiming a hard toss at the tree's foliage, resulting in a single apple falling from it along with the empty Pokeball ; the apple caught in one hand and kindly gestured towards Fawn while the ball landed to the floor with a light thud cushioned by the tall grass.

//OOC: Uh, I think I godmodded in here, but I'm a nub and couldn't figure out how to fix it, so if it doesn't work out, Naze please do what you want and then I'll edit this post. Sorry. =x
…
No.
As they lay side by side, Fawn swatted the apple from his hand. Then she rolled onto him, coming to a kneeling position with one knee in the dirt and the other on his sternum, and her hand resting at the base of his throat. She was not a physical person, but merely telling him to stay out of her bubble was clearly not working. Not trying to leave a mark on him, were that even a possibility, the pressure of her angry five foot five frame, thank you very much, was something he couldn’t ignore.
“Ok Razz, here’s the thing,” she started as a matter of fact. Her voice was lowered for the sake of covertness, but her eyes spoke the unreleased fury bubbling under her expression. “I know you’re a frisky guy. And my patience with that thus far has astounded even me. But now we’re on the clock for the first target, and now is not the time for your unnatural impulses.” There were a lot of things on her mind, and her technical superior over here was still playing around. She would not waste energy wondering what he was so happy about all the time, or why he liked to be himself at the worst possible times. It was her fault for not setting her foot down earlier, but certain things needed to be communicated. Now. “We are not pals. We’re not on a picnic.” The words fell bluntly from her lips, the admonishment coming naturally to her as she’d done so to several people in the past. “This is not a joke,” she spat, pointing a finger into his chest. “Ask any of the people who failed on this task last,” she reminded him acidly.
Fawn couldn’t decide if he was directly trying to sabotage her, or if he was ten. Both were equally horrifying, but it would take more than that to stop her from a given task. And as soon as this was over, she’d work on her self-appointed chore of eliminating him from the syndicate. “For future reference, we have professional standards at the Base. You might want to look into that. We are a business, you know. Are we clear now?” she asked patronizingly, her eyes flitting over his through his glasses.
She pushed herself up and stared at him. Ugh, he did not belong here at all, she thought, and this probably wouldn’t be the last time this happened…She pinched her sinuses, and forgot the past 90 seconds.
“Ok,” she sighed, opening her eyes. “It’s the female trainer. I assumed she was on a higher floor, but obviously she’s not, so I know barricading the stairs won’t do anything. And I wasn’t going to spore the room,” she said edgily, in response to the only relevant things he said. “It would be too risky,” she said, agreeing with his previous observation. “I intended on setting off a Flash.”
She thought it through again for a moment. If it worked, everyone inside would be temporarily blinded and disoriented, giving enough time to get the Suicune.
It was obvious to her that no rest was going to take place now. “Ok. You’re rife with boyish energy to burn, and I’m not about to go to sleep,” she said, crossing her arms. “We’re going in there now.”
--
She ran the plan through one more time out loud. It would all happen very fast. Still thinking about his earlier behavior, she designated the job of “being vigilant” to Razz and left the critical things to herself. Pulling a pokeball out of her bag, she released her tiny grass Pokemon. He hopped upon landing on the ground, as if to wake himself up a bit, blinked a few times, then turned to her attentively. “It’s time,” she said quietly, and the Oddish’s body dipped as if nodding.
She looked back at Razz for last minute notes. “We have to get the Suicune out of there before she reorients. Thankfully, this girl walks around with her Pokemon out and not in their balls.” She bit her lip, deciding what else she could remind him of. “If we don’t do it in time, I’ll need you to distract her, or disarm her,” she said quietly, suppressing the feeling that he himself might get distracted.
Normally, they’d have a big escape option lined up. Helicopters, flying Pokemon…This time, it was going to be a lot more basic. “Then we run,” she said, looking towards Arkon, hands on her hips.
Kricketune or some other bug filled the night air with faint chirpings. Her nerve endings tingled down to the tips of her fingers with the dredges of her energy. This was an important test, but that was fine with her. She was always good at those.
She pointed at the left side of the doorway, silently indicating for Razz to stand there. She went up the stairs and to the right side, her back pressed against the cool metal exterior of the building. She looked down at the Oddish in her arms.
“Flash Bang,” she whispered shortly. This let him know he was about to be launched, and that he would produce a high wattage flash upon hitting the ground.
When it blinked its understanding, Fawn turned her head to Razz, mouthing a single word.
Ready?

Certainly Razz had expected the denial of his offer, even partially waited for the apple to be swatted from his hands as if she were a tetchy Persian ; both concluded in a simple sigh breathed from his lips but both results didn't seem to make Razz anymore accepting of Fawn's professional person. And it truly was going as he had thought it would until his eyes widened slightly as Fawn rolled over onto him, putting her pressure upon his body with one knee upon the earth and the other upon the center of his chest. This wasn't the first time something similar happened, and Razz was usually able to shake them off with relative ease depending on the individual's height, weight, and overall strength but the fact that Fawn's hand rested upon the base of his throat and the absolute fury in her eyes made the general stark still. You've done it now.. he couldn't help but mentally wince.
With a conscious effort, Razz was able to halt the strong shudder that would have rippled through his body upon simply glancing into his companion's raven eyes and grasping how far he had gone over her borders. Perhaps he should have taken more note in where to halt his assault of those boundaries. But on the other hand, she was now of little interest.. Or possibly even below that standard. And as she continued growling at him in a voice that seemed to have a will to raise yet did not for the sake of staying as unkown as possible, Razz intently listened to the words spilling from her mouth. Truthfully, he felt Fawn could've done less damage taking a dagger's blade to his skin in a harsh cut then her words that were thrown at him in such an irritated manner. What had he truly expected? Did he ever really expect to make some form of companionship appear between the two or at least get slightly under that fake form she gave off? Yes Razz halted the negativity of his thoughts to hiss at himself mentally. Yes.. Yes you did. Fool.. .. It was not too much of a foolish mannerism was it? It was a good natured wish but the further Fawn spoke and told him the facts he was already well aware of, those hopes were swiftly dashed and steadily replaced with his previous plan.
Oh how far had he fallen into that wish to practically forget his own agenda? Capture the Suicunes, reduce Team Darkness's number by one, and release the legendary beasts before William could prod them with a single needle. However, it shocked him to realize that the thought of murdering Fawn with his own hands still did not settle well within him. Did that idiotic chimerical dream of his still exist somewhere, maybe within his subconscious..? You'll feel fine when the time presents itself.. Razz decided, casting such matters aside for now and unfortunately that left a vacant spot within him that was to be occupied rather quickly with the true sting of Fawn's words. The verbal sword that rendered him into a pained position and Fawn Stanton as no more then another uninteresting, unworthy, piece of filth that was one of the members of Team Darkness. And he would gaze at her with such views now, hopefully something more before Razz decided the sand in her hourglass was up but for now it seemed like such sand would prove fairly ephemeral. Once more, the thought of Fawn as nothing more then a grunt heavily faltered through his consciousness, but was swiftly ignored.
With perfect timing they both seemed to end their thoughts. Fawn finally released him from under her and Razz rubbed his chest slightly with his hand but he didn't dare move from his position upon the ground. And to answer Fawn's dry inquiry that Razz's eyes might of answered with their now golden pools reflecting many mixed emotions, but the man felt the need to give verbal acceptance of it all. "Crystal," he answered, tone like absolute acid that truly revealed the levels of his disgust and anger that was more or less induced by an emotional wound that Fawn had induced.
Silently listening to his 'companion' speak and edgily give more orders, Razz nodded as she stated in a matter of fact manner that they were initiating their plan now. Now? he still felt the need to complain but, these words did not breach into speech, instead Razz supplemented it with a nod and began to sit up with a grunt from his position on the floor. This night was getting worse and worse...
----
Instead of usually right next to Fawn, Razz was well distanced with a bitterness flowing about him that he doubted.. no, that he knew Fawn didn't give a damn about. The job would get done, and Razz would commit this crimes with these emotions that did not effect a damn thing ; and Fawn hopefully knew this and saved him the later patronization of it all.
All and all, the general gave a single nod as she informed him of what he was sure was the basics of it all. Good, he didn't need to overexert himself for this wretched organization like she felt she needed to. Simple enough, snatch and run like the hounds of hell were nipping at your heels. Simple indeed. And with that Razz hurried to his station and watched Fawn as she worked her own professional magic.
It was a rather relieving feeling to sense the sharp jolt of adrenaline slicing through his previous emotions for a moment when Fawn silently mouthed him the critical question of it all. And of course, he answered with a steady, silently mouthed "yeah" and a nod, a serious look now within his eyes as the general prepared for their plan to commence on Fawn's signal.
