Acorn Town. It was so... small.
Nothing like KL had expected at all. But still, she was pleasantly surprised. No huge lines, no massive sky scrapers, no traffic. It was adorable. The blonde girl looked natural, relaxing in the mid-summer sun. It was as though she lived there, in the little town that had captured her heart. But no, she didn't. She was there on important business matters, involving a certain Pokemon lab that was in the area.
KL stood up, brushing grass and leaves off of her cream colored skirt and stretching. Laying in the grass like that had made her drowsy. But there was no time for sleeping. Today was the first day of the rest of her life! She started towards the lab, running at first. Then that energy wore off, and she was jogging. And then walking. And then dragging herself. How far away could this lab be?
She had passed it.
Like an idiot, she had rushed right past it during her jogging phase. She groaned, turning around. This time, she managed to get to the door. KL turned the knob with ease, poking her head inside. "Hello?" She called loudly, her voice echoing slightly.

As the female entered into the lab with a slight creak of the door, an ear-piercing crashing sound echoed through the lab, sound waves carrying for quite awhile until a scream that mingled between that of a Pokemon and a human bounced along with the dying cries of the smash. "Wea-Weavile! Go get whoever that is!" another female's voice cried as from the very back of the lab a clicking noise was heard, sounding similar to bare feet against the cold marble floor that the lab's ground was composed entirely of. However, after another moment of the clicking, a Pokemon rather then a human appeared ; a young looking Weavile that stood in a well composed stature yet there was still a vaguely visible heaving of it's chest that hinted towards the ice and dark-types panting.
Swiftly enough, the Pokemon walked infront of the trainer-to-be with forced composure. With a calm coo, the female Weavile bowed her great grey furred head to the guest before raising into a corrected posture, crimson red eyes meeting with KL's with the obvious inquiry of the guest's purpose.

Upon her entrance, the loud crash that resounded spooked her. She had let out a small squeal, though it was silent compared to the huge noise. And then it got quiet. The appearance of the Weavile startled her even more. For some reason, she had figured this place would have a team of human greeters. But the Pokemon interaction was nice.
"I've heard that this is the place I come to get my starter Pokemon." She said shakily, self consiously straightening her clothing and trying to convince her stray hair to lay down. A chill ran down her spine as the door swung closed behind her, and suddenly the lab seemed cold. Like a hospital. But creepier. That might just be the Weavile, though. It was odd, her first encounter with a dark type Pokemon.

The young Weavile Pokemon nodded and gave a pleasent, fanged smile with an assuring nod. It gave an approving coo to the trainer before the female Pokemon drifted towards the counter that had an assortment of Pokeball set upon it's metal top that shimmered like an operating table in the artificial lighting that the ceiling made sure to provide with it's lights operating brightly. With it's smokey white, razor-like claws, the Weavile motioned to the trainer to come forth before gesturing to the total of seven Pokeballs that all contained different starters, their figures visible through the almost transparent-like balls for any and all to bare witness to. Again, Weavile's crimson hues met with KL's golden optics, stating a message that reflected through the Pokemon's red pools, the message to be read as another inquiry for what KL would choose out of the Pokemon presented.

She watched the Pokemon move, relaxing. This was easy. No difficult questions, no mean professors. But she had no clue what Pokemon she wanted. The only indication of what was what were the shapes of the Pokemon. She could vaugely tell what they were, though her expierence was limited. Mareep, Machop, Oddish, Starly, Houndour, Lotad... What was that last one? The shape looked so familiar.
She stared at it intently for a moment, blinking. Ralts. That's what it was. Now that she knew them all, she'd have to decide. Mareep, too girly and cute. Plus, KL didn't really go for the entire fluffy electric thing. Machop, too macho. Starly, maybe. Oddish, too common... Lotad, too creepy. Houndour was also a maybe; So was Ralts.
So from seven to three. Starly, Houndour, Ralts. Thinking hard, she stared, eyes traveling from each ball to the others. (Hm... Starly is pretty common, too. And I've heard about Houndour being really, really difficult to train. So...) She thought, her thoughts becoming her voice.
"I'd like the Ralts." She said, smiling sheepishly at the Weavile.

Intently watching the the young female scan over the Pokeballs with indecision within her golden hues, the Weavile also look to the Pokeballs, attempting to also guess within her own mind what this newcomer would choose for her first starter Pokemons. Houndour was an extremely popular choice however, such favoritism to such a stubborn beast caused concern within her conscious that only lead for her prayers to go to both trainer and Pokemon ; praying for their relationship to last. And then there was Ralts, a very calm and sometimes even timid Pokemon. A very wise choice for starting trainers though for the more bubbly crowd that only thought of the Ralts evolution into Kirlia, Weavile could see those people as a bit overbearing for the calm minded creature.
However, the dark type's train of thought was abruptly interrupted as the trainer spoke, transitioning her thoughts into verbal sequence. The Weavile gave the trainer a calm yet approving smile and a nod, taking the little Psychic type Pokemon's Pokeball into her razor-like paw and offering it in a polite gesture to the trainer. before reaching with free paw to a closed drawer, flipping it open in on swift motion and taking out three Pokeballs one by one to set upon the counter top for KL's retrieval along with a single Pokedex customized for Kyoto Region.
Congrats! You Received..
Ralts LVL. 5 Moves Growl
Three Average Pokeballs
Kyoto Region Pokedex
