Metal, but of course. Well, Slipknot, Avenged Sevenfold, and System of a Down weren't created for rap or country...

I find rap absolutely ridiculous. That's not music people. Then again, almost none of the new bands can actually sing. -_-;
But, I like Alternative, Metal, and Rock. Metallica, some Slipknot, System of a Down, Malice Mizer, Linkin Park, etc. Though I'm not a fan of music that just screams all the way through, drowning out the beats. That's just as bad as rap.
I only like one country song : Neon Moon. And Friends in Low Places is also pretty good. That's it. ><;

I like rock/metal/metalcore/deathcore/hardcore/death metal/melodic death metal etc.

aw, I like all kinds of music, but my fave R&B isn't up there!
I'd say to anyone who says they don't like rap, that it's possible you haven't been exposed to real rap. (At least, the stuff on the radios isn't good most of the time...xD) I'm so into hard bass and instrumentals.
My second fave genre would probably be easy listening or rock. I lose my mind when Elton John comes on, lol

Elton John is awesome. Benny and The Jets, Rocketman, Tiny Dancer, Daniel [One of my top favorites] and many more. Elton John is a beautiful singer..

BaTJ and Tiny Dancer are some of my faves too; and Honky Cat, because I really love his piano stuff. His music really makes me happy and reminds me of my childhood home. c:

I still live in my childhood home. xD But if I ever left the state I would probably relate to Thin Lizzy's music, don't ask why. x3;
George Micheal, Thin Lizzy, ELO, Supertramp, Queen, Information Society, Pet Shop Boys, David Bowie, Naked Eyes, Journey, and I could go on forever naming bands. I listen to a lot of 80s, can you tell? xD

I used to listen to a lot of 80's pop, but I can't name anyone since everyone I know from that era was a one hit wonder. xD It's so magical, and the music videos are...something else.
Seriously though, you could put on almost anything and I'll probably like it. Yes, including country. lol

I'm with Kell. It's hard for me to pick a favorite, I like music in general. My favorite country song is Ol' Red, though.
