Yume dropped her pack, Luu fallowed behind her. Luu then went to a small hallow log near Yume and begun to gather leaves and grass, building herself a bed. Yume unclipped the sleeping bag from her pack, spreading it out. Luu went and gathered sticks and stones, putting them in a pile. Yume then started to make a fire pit placing the stones in a nice neat circle. Yume and Luu have a bond, they don't need to tell one another what to do. They've know each other for long enough not to ask. Yume too out some matches and lit the fire, Luu came closer to Yume. Then in one simple motion Yume scooped up Luu in her arms. The small pokemon snuggling close, Yume just gazed into the fire. The sun just started to set, painting the sky red. Luu started to play with her bandanna giving off small pebble sized Focus Palms. Yume just smiled her eye started to drop. Luu the same, they both had a rough day battling with wild pokemon for fun. Luu jumped out of Yume's arms and went to her bed. Yume went to her sleeping bed and crawled in pulling her pack closer to act as a pillow. It didn't take long for Yume to fall asleep, Luu went to Yume's side. The young Riolu sat near the fire watching her trainer she then heard something, she didn't call for Yume she just waited for the noise to come closer.

As the bushes as grass rustled lightly, two golden colored eyes seem to watch the trainer and her Riolu from the shadows. Small sparks began to show light within the shadows before the Pokemon that had seemed to be stealthily stalking them appeared cautiously infront of the Roilu with a defensive hiss, the beast's blue fur beginning to rise upon it's whithers. A shinx, male, stood in clear sight with it's claws unsheathed and kneading the grass beneath it's small paws. Again, the lion cub Pokemon gave a hiss though this one was much more aggressive, as if telling Luu to move herself and her trainer from his path or else.

Luu pushed Yume's shoulder begging her trainer to wake. Yume only shruged and moved over to lay on her side. Luu had to choice, she came forward into a battle stance. Her mouth pulled into a snarl. Luu hissed telling the pokemon to back off, she was stronger then the male shinx. Luu looked back to Yume her trainer snoring just alittle. Yume moved again this time Luu didn't turn back to watch instead she took one step foward bring her paws in front of her.

For a moment, the young Shinx hesitated as Luu put paw forward. The small Pokemon began to shift uncomfortably before coming back into a battle stance, his snarling hiss becoming much louder with his claws fully released from their sheaths. The male Shinx knew very well that this Riolu that served his trainer was much stronger then himself though with the stubborn nature he kept, the Shinx would not back down just because of that. There would be no backing down on his behalf in this fight.
And with that decision, the Shinx leaped forward and towards Luu with surprising agility for a Pokemon so young as himself. The male put his head forward and began to speed up, attempting to strike Luu with a Tackle.

Luu tensed as the shinx hissed, his claw fully unsleathed. Luu ready herself even more as he took off toward her. She wasn't use to not having Yume to tell her what to do. She couldn't react fast enough to dodge the attack. She fell to the ground, her breath knock out of her. Luu crawled away from the Shinx. Her heart beating, she had to think for herself now. She thought quickly and sprang forward, her paw outreached trying to get a hold of him, for a good Force Palm.

The Shinx only allowed a smirk to cross his black lips when his tackle hit the stronger Pokemon and was ready for the opposing attack, making it easy for him to dart to the side and avoid the female Riolu's force palm. Again though, the Riolu took no time to rest as instead of completely running out of any future attack's range, the male Shinx began to approach Luu at close contact, dashing towards her side. Once more, the beast put his skull forward to act in offensive with another Tackle attack towards his opponent.

Luu was ready this time, she moved just out of range. Letting a wide smirk cover her face. She wanted to attack but she stoped and looked to Yume. Join us Shinx you can be happy Luu whispered trying not to come off threating but if she needed to her left hand was starting to glow, she was preparing a Ice Punch. Yume woke up from another nightmare, it was the same nightmare she had every other night. Her father's death, that Nidoking's charge her screams even her own mother's hatred. Yume was use to having Luu by her side but the little Riolu was no were to be found.

Even with the offer, the male Shinx shook his head with irritation within his golden, fierce eyes. ~I do not wish to join any team that cannot even catch a single Pokemon! It's honorable for you to wish for peace rather then violence but if you will not fight then I shall leave you to your human..~ the beast stated sternly and with a sense of wise nature beyond it's age. And as promised, the Shinx stood with his claws still unsheathed and digging into the soft earth, ready to attack once more if the Riolu decided to attack and defend her and her trainer's honor. Awaiting Luu answer, the Shinx began to crouch low to the ground, his belly almost touching the grass in a near pounce position.

Yume got up pulled down her shorts and went looking for Luu. It didn't take long to see Luu panting hard standing across from a Shinx. Yume had seen a few Shinx and Luxio around her old home. This was her chance to catch a pokemon for the first time. Luu She said out loud, her pokemon looked up a sparkle in her eye. Ice Punch! She ordered with a smile, Luu went running toward the Shinx a new found energy in her step, Yume was by her side again.

The Shinx's ears perked at the sound of the trainer coming and the volume of his spitting hiss increased, glaring with golden optics at Yume. However, he was forced to concentrate back upon Luu when the trainer barked her command with a smile. Oh? Was this trainer actually pondering capturing him? She would have to earn it first by his standards. With a dash, the male Shinx attempted to dodge the Ice Punch just as he did the Force Palm but with the new energy found within his opponent, the beast could not force enough haste into his actions in time to dodge ; causing a loud yowl of pain to escape his jowls. A critical hit bestowed upon his side but as he fell to the floor, the Shinx rather weakly stood upon his paws with a growl. Once more, it aimed a tackle for Luu.

Yume smiled, she was going to get the shinx. Taking out a pokeball she was stunned that Shinx still wanted to battle. Let him attack you Yume said, Luu nodded getting ready for the attack, she was hit full on in the chest. She went backwards just a litttle but was quick to be on her feet again. Pokeball Go! Yume shouted tossing the ball toward the Shinx.

Though the wild Shinx seemed extremely satisfied that it was able to strike Luu once more, it took no notice of the Pokeball until the metal ball was upon him and red vapor already engulfed the wild feline Pokemon. Though with a final glance into the Pokemon's eyes, it seemed to accept the fact of capture and joining into the same party as the Riolu. The Pokeball shook once... Twice.. A third time.. And then a ping sounded, signifying that the wild Shinx was not successfully caught.

Yume jumped as the pokeball pinged, Luu did the same. You did good She said picking up the pokeball. Shinx your new name is Shen Yume whispered, going back to her camp site. Without much of any energy left. Bed time Luu She said putting the pokeball in her belt. Yume put some sand over the fire then snuggled up into sleeping bag hoping to dream good thoughts.

The Sun rose in the sky, casting a bright light on Luu den and Yume's sleeping bag. Luu woke up and went to Yume's side her small Riolu hands pushing her trainer awake.
