As might be guessed from the gender definition above, Jamie spends most of her time dressed as a woman. She likes to dye her dark, curly hair blond. This she has to wear short, as her hair just looks stringy id she grows it long. On a few occasions she had shaved her head and worn wigs, but it's not worth it in the long run, as she has perfectly nice natural hair.
She's tall and thin, which helps, and she has great legs, but she is physically a boy, and she's just a little too wide across the shoulders and slim in the hips. Her preferred form of dress is the sun dress, with a vivid floral pattern, which unfortunately shows off her complete lack of chest, wide shoulders, and hugs those slim hips. It doesn't look brilliant on her, and some of her friends try to convince her to go Lolita, or get away from such unflattering styles and patterns by going fully queen. Jamie just says the inner sixteen year old girl desires garden parties, attention of silly relatives who think "she's grown up so fast, and so cute," and friends, not the Tokyo street scene, thank you.
Personality:
Jamie is a thoughtful person. She tends to keep a smile on her face, while in the back of her mind she weighs every reaction she gets, and considers whether she should be rude in return, or she will gain more traction and acceptance by being nice, and open. She can snap back, and quite sharply when she's in short temper, but Jamie doesn't like to feel guilty, and her conscience usually requires an apology after one of her blow ups.
Where this darling girl really shines is when it comes to pokemon. She loves almost every kind of pokemon, and enjoys both battling, and contests (she finds some contest coordinators can get a little, well, obsessively crazy, and prefers to battle just because trainers are less weird, and can usually take losing without threatening to break your pokemon's legs and poison you). She tries to be fair, and is fairly experienced. She doesn't battle people she thinks will push their own pokemon too far, or new trainers, even when she's starting out in a new regions herself.
Days of yore:
Jamie had the average life a Sinnohan transgender. Her early years were happy, and unconcerned, but when she started going to school things started to get weird. For one thing, she couldn't dress up in her older sister's clothes for fun any more. And she started getting beaten up for "being a dweeb." She didn't have a large group of friends willing to stick up for her, which made things difficult. Her two closest friends tried very hard to get her to act more normally, and go with the crowd, but this only caused Jamie to stubbornly act as strangely as she possibly could. Her first three years at the Jubilife school were so unhappy that she actually pretended to be sick for three months in order not to go back in her third year.
So her parents, who were worried, looked into getting her a transfer. It's difficult to switch schools, but every summer when Jamie went out for short training runs normal to the children whose parents wanted their cherubs to stay in school and concentrate on academics rather than training, she made plenty of friends, so it just could be that she had a bad entrance in the school and it had stuck with her. They finally went together with their thirteen year old child to Rustboro to interview at the school there. Jamie made a great impression, and enrolled.
She spent the next three years there quite happily. There were still problems, but she had a nice group of friends to support her this time. Jamie became quite the class clown, and as she was living at the school during the year, this left a lot of room for pranks. The one that gained her eternal popularity was stealing Roxanna's dress uniform that she wore for gym battles. Jamie wore it to school the next morning, because the first class of the day was the one that Roxanna T.A.ed for, single type battles. It should be noted that since Jamie used Normal types for that class, she got slapped all over the battle ground that morning. But she hasn't looked back, and continued to wear dresses to class for the rest of her term there, and when she went out to go on training missions, she continued to wear girl's clothing.
Since leaving school, she's traveled over many regions taking part in the gym circuits, and enjoyed herself immensely. Each time she comes to a new region, of course, she leaves her old pokemon at home, and likes to start out fresh at the lab.
Sexual Preference: Do I like them? Do they like me, and want to kiss and cuddle? I'm happy with that.
