Riley sighed, wiping sweat off of her forehead. "Alright, guys, time for a break!" She called, and all of the Pokemon can running, all of them either smoking, covered in sweat, or otherwise on fire. Celes, Sher, Ichigo, Flame... Chim was already there, sitting on her shoulders like a child would. She opened the bag sitting on the ground near her, taking out the bottles of water and containers of Pokemon food, setting up a makeshift picnic in a matter of moments. Chim got the smallest bowl, since he wasn't even sweating. And as for everyone else, they all got bowls according to the intensity of their training. From smallest to largest, it was Flame, Celes, Sher, then Ichigo. The little Combusken wanted so desperatley to become a Blaiziken... And in about two more winning battles, he would.
They had been there for a while, only glimpsing wild Pokemon. If one happened to attack, she might catch it, train it. Depending on the type. Part of her wanted to catch a Pokemon that wasn't a fire type for a while, though she hadn't really put any actual action into it. Any of the trainers who challenged her that had a strong water-based team beat her with no problem. One strong grass type could fix that problem. She finished her own sandwich, turning to see that all of her Pokemon were finished. She recalled them, claiming that they were finished for a while, and if she needed them, she'd release them. The only Pokemon left out was Chim. His sitting on her head made her look like a rookie, which was an unusual thought. She was far, far from a rookie.
She finished packing up their stuff, shouldering her bag and shaking her head, laughing when Chim almost fell off. He crawled down into her arms, wrapping his arms around her neck. She smiled, squeezing him and earning a 'Chim!' before she started walking into the bizzare enviornment. Trees. Her usual surroundings consisted of gym walls... This place was a nice change. The air was clean, free of smoke. If she caught anything on fire in a battle, she'd be sure to put it out. This place was far too beautiful to burn.

It had been quite a few, long days since the night at Sanctine Hospital that had nearly sent him into Ayane's memories ; and only a trajic, short memory. And Crescent could only of wished those days were more, that many more hours had passed into the abyss but alas, who was he to wish change upon something absolutely set in it's ways? Their barriers had shattered that night yet, both of them seemed rather fine with the fact that no bars were longer held towards each other ; excluding just a few minor barriers that neither of them truly needed to know about each other.
Though Sveti Forest was not the most.. pleasant place to recall memories due to the night when Ayane was rather harshly injured by his own Pokemon that he once held extremely dear to him until the Espeon truly showed his envious emotions. But, Crescent chose not to delve into these thoughts as he walked slightly ahead of his companion in lead of the pair with only Count released from his pokeball ; the dragon-like fire Pokemon having spent too much time cooped up within his pokeball. The trio would most likely go to a town close by or maybe camp out here once more with a much more positive outcome ending in the conclusion however, as the man began to almost plan each situation, Crescent halted swiftly yet with grace as Pokemon and a female trainer reflected within his crimson hues.
Oh? Unexpected.. Crescent thought for a moment though there was no way around the clearing if they wanted to get to the nearest town before nightfall that, in truth, he would've not wished to trek through. Not waiting for his companion's approval, he gave a slight hand signal for his obedient Charizard to not follow him immediately into the opening before stepping into clear view, his black clothing still partially cloaking him in the trees shadow yet his beauty made his image inviting.
Placing a hand upon his chest and giving a slight bow of his head in an elegant gesture, Crescent looked to the other female with a kind smile tugging ever so faintly upon his lips to offer an image that was without threat. "I apologize, I didn't expect another to be here. Forgive my intrusion.." Crescent's velvety voice purred with seductive sincerity, hoping that the trainer did not pose any violent intentions towards the pair.

.. It was a relief to get away from the memories that the haunted hospital permanently held. Never would this woman forget what happened, and she doubted she wanted to forget; despite their barriers being torn down so easily, she wanted to cherish the relief that she felt when her companion's condition grew healthier. The spider's thread he clung to.. hadn't snapped after all, yet she knew he was worthy of at least hearing that emotion she held, at least feeling her near him, knowing she would not leave his side. She knew he would have heard the song she carefully hummed as the night drew darker - and she knew he would have felt at least one tear of joy arrive as he recovered..
Closing her icy sapphires, Ayane blinked away the memories, her emotionless exterior remaining firm upon her. She watched as Crescent led the way, Count close to his side as she was, on his other side - but just slightly further away than his Pokemon. For once, Ryuu was in his Pokeball; she had decided to allow him to rest, for he had followed her for more than a week, and she had felt it was time for him to take a break.
Her steps were graceful, elegant and silent they could easily be considered - even as she abruptly paused when her companion did. Her gaze scanned over the area, swiftly spotting a woman; ah, she swiftly recognized her as a Gym Leader - Riley Blaze. [ i figured ayane and riley would know each other 'cause ayane's champion and beat all the gyms and shot... ] A faint smile managed to embrace her lips, as she slightly nodded in greeting.
Glancing through her peripheral vision, she watched as Crescent bowed politely at the Fire Specialized Gym Leader. Her smile grew oh so faintly; that was one of the things she took a liking to about her companion. He wasn't a ruffian, and he intrigued her - not to mention seemed utterly worthy of accompanying her. But she blinked, and those thoughts scattered again, as her eyes watched Riley, her exterior hardly betraying the fact that she was wondering what they could do in each others' company, especially on a day like this.
[ sorry for all the rambling. .___. ]

She turned her head, Chim mirroring her motion. "No intrusion, sir, for this place isn't mine to claim." She glanced from him to his companion, who she recognized instantly. The Champion, who had passed through a while before, making her way to the very top. Her eyes scanned the trio, making minute assumptions from appearance. Strong trainers, as obvious by the fact that one of the few trainers to ever make it past her was standing there.
Chim stared at them, taking the moment of time to swing around to where he was standing on her shoulder, looking over the top of her head. Her eyes looked up, not moving her head. "Having fun, are we?" She said to him, chuckling. "My name is Riley Blaze, by the way. Well, one of you already knew that." She smiled. "What brings you all to this strange forest?" She asked, eyeing the well raised Charizard with intrest. The Pokemon looked incredibly well kept, well trained, and well behaved. Her smile grew, but her eye twitched as she tried to ignore- literally- the monkey on her back.

At the woman's reply, the male straightened his position, slowly sliding out from his elegant bow with Count moving within his shadows quietly, holding himself with the equal pride of his trainer though seemed to take great care in not over-powering his trainer as the Charizard stood within Crescent's shadow like the silent protective type he was. Though the man closely watched the stranger that seemed kind enough, his eyes glanced towards Ayane for a second upon the female gym leader's next statement. Of course.. Ayane had an outstanding memory and being the Champion of Kyoto Region, the two were likely to know each other though he doubted it was on an extremely personal level. Though Crescent was aware of each gym leader that Kyoto Region held within it's ranks, his knowledge of the region coming from many places ; underworld or not. However, it was best for his own sake to play it off as if he had the unwitting disposition to both females, unwilling to show his genes into the surface of Ayane's conscious.
"Pleasure to meet you," the male purred once more, meeting Riley's eyes with his own and relationg with the red iris that was only slightly lighter then his own. His eyes relaying another pleasant greetint to the fire gym leader before speaking once again in his signature velvety tone, "You may call me Crescent. I presume you two know each other?" he inquired, giving another partial glance towards his companion before turning once more towards Riley with a polite smile that only Ayane could ever know how truly false these gestures were towards strangers.

Inside, the woman's smile was quite full, only shadowed by the past. With a slight nod, it was almost clear that she would reveal her preference of.. silent communication, to the Gym Leader she had managed to defeat. After all, she did not know any of the Gym Leaders on a personal level, as her companion had figured out; they were unlikely to know her ways of preferred communication since, not only did she get interviewed rarely, she was forced to speak in those interviews. Inwardly, a soft sigh lingered, but it never reached the surface of her exterior.
Ayane allowed her exterior to grow emotionless, as always, but her icy sapphires remained prepared to deliver any messages. 'We've been here before,' one could see her eyes trying to say, but it disappeared a few moments later, as her focus switched to her peripheral vision, watching and listening to Crescent. That ghost of a smile slithered onto her lips; yes, how polite... A tad too polite, in her opinion - and it was quite true that at least a fraction of these actions were false. But still, even if it was to deceive.. she took.. at least an admiration to it, or even an interest. Besides, it was better than some ruffian who cursed any stranger out as a greeting.
His presumption was quite correct, and she allowed him to know that by giving him a small nod, before glancing back at the Gym Leader. Again, her eyes held a message - but this time, in a question's form; 'Your reasons for being here?' It wasn't a hostile question - just.. the faintest hint of curiosity - not to mention, perhaps some conversation would keep any uneasy silences away. She didn't mind silences - she just disliked those uncertain and or uneasy ones, almost always wary of them.

The Champion's polite silence, the stranger's absolutely perfect mannerisms... They were slightly unnerving. "Yes, we've met." She said, bowing her head slightly out of respect. She caught a glimpse of the other female's eyes, and caught yet another unspoken question there. "I've been training, aiming for a better battling style." She said, making it seem like she was just starting a conversation instead of answering a question. Truthfully, her previous style was entirely strength, as all of her Pokemon except for Celes had terrible speed or agility. So she had taken a break from gym life, just for a while. Found her way out into the forest, to train, and to hopefully find a powerful grass type.

[ not much of an idea as of to write... so it's gonna be crappy. ]
Her icy sapphires closed again, as she gave a hint of a nod. It was soon that the woman began to wonder, though in the minor areas, if her battle tactics were still quite challenging. Perhaps they ought to be riskier... but she would have to wait until someone challenged her to see if she could work out any needed new strategies. Cracking her eyes open, she blinked once, before taking a small step back; socialization was.. well, she would just allow them both to socialize before she would do anything more.

Crescent gave a slight nod before taking a step forward as if countering Ayane's movement to almost sink back into the cool shadows that the tall Sveti Forest trees provided. Though neither of the two trainers knew this gym leader on a necessarily personal level, himself and her having just physically met within each other's presence, this was the first time when Crescent would have possibly wished for Ayane to be more.. personal. However, his skills could make up for an entire group as Crescent glanced behind him, watching Count as he moved forward with him, his giant flame-tipped tail resting upon the ground though Crescent could clearly recongnize the beast's tension.
Though Crescent chalked this situation up to one of the rare.. no, extremely rare miscalculations he made. "Ayane and I intended to pass through here and go to the town near here. Naru Town, I believe.. Would you like to accompany us?" Crescent offered politely and felt Count's wings shift slightly in preparation to spread them widely for flight, already processing the 'positive' response from Riley. "Or are you rather busy?" Crescent added a moment later, his crimson hues meeting her own with a certain 'charm' to them.

Her plan had been to go there anyway, once she was finished. Why not with companions? True, she hadn't had a chance to catch the grass type she was after, but surely she could catch it another time. After her moment's hesitation, she smiled softly, speaking. "I would be honored to." Something about Crescent made her feel as though she should speak politely, more so than she usually was.
These people, who she hardly knew, made her nervous, but it was probably just their odd mannerisms. Certainly, after a while, they wouldn't be so odd to her. Her eyes met his for a moment, and she noted the darkness of his shade of crimson. She straightened her hair, pulling her bangs out of her eyes with a smile.

Upon Riley's reply, Crescent's well groomed jet black hair rippled slightly as his Charizard spread his large dragon like wings and shifted more towards Crescent's side, if not even ahead of him with a bow of his head towards the gym leader, Count's body lowering slightly in the offering for a ride upon his back and through the skies. Eyes never leaving Riley as Crescent advanced to be a few inches ahead of Count yet much closer to Riley with personal space kept to the very front of his mind, unwilling to create an ill impression for himself or thrust the female gym leader into a state of discomfort or insecurity. "Then may we offer you a form of transportation?" Cresent inquired politely with another slight bow before extending his bare hand to the female ; another extent of his stainless socialization skills.
If his childhood had taught him anything, it was the fact that being slightly personable did not hurt, especially if you could cloak how false these extents were. As the celestial painting of perfection that he seemingly was, Crescent's dazzling crimsons still did not lose a second of eye contact with Riley's.

Riley smiled, thinking. She had her own transportation, but would Sher get along with this other Charizard? Unlikley. She was the type that required constant attention, and having such a well raised member of her own species around would upset her.
So she ended up nodding, taking a step closer to the man she hardly knew. However, her own Charizard apparently sensed her intentions, and released herself, roaring in the quiet forest and causing Riley to sigh. "Get back in the ball, Sher." She commanded, breaking the eye contact she had maintained. The large dragon stared at her, bewildered. "Don't make me say it again, love. I'll make it up to you later. You know you'll get upset." She said, meeting the Pokemon's gaze, who then turned her eyes to the other Charizard, who she snorted at, glaring daggers. She returned to her Pokeball, then Riley looked at Crescent and Ayane with an apologetic look. "I apologize. She doesn't do well with other Pokemon, or I'd ride her instead of imposing." She said, sighing and looking back at the strange Charizard.

A ghost of a smile came to her lips as she watched them, wondering whether or not she ought to allow her loyal overprotective dragon Pokemon to take flight with her upon his back. It was most likely, once he was released from the device, he would gladly forget any exhaustion, if any, he had gained throughout the days of restlessly following her around. He, after all, was far too protective for his own health. But, before she could decide against it, it was as if he knew what was going on; that, or he sensed that she needed him. His Pokeball slightly budged.
Her hand shifted to her waist, her hands grazing his Pokeball. Once again, it budged, and the phantasm of a smile grew faintly more. Grasping it, it grew within her palm, before she placed it not even a centimeter from her lips. The whisper was inaudible to any listening ears but him, if it was possible to hear through the device; "Are you certain you want to?" The response was a glow at the line, and she threw it into the air, allowing a white light to bolt from he device and land to materialize into her faithful Salamence; he slightly flapped his wings, before lifting them higher than usual to show he was wary of the hardly familiar Riley.
The beast abruptly calmed at his master's touch, which was hardly on his cheek. He glanced at her, and her sapphires clearly stated it was fine, as usual. And, as usual, he calmed down, but still kept a wary guard. However, she backed onto his back, swinging one leg over the other side of his neck. Her gaze remained watching them, waiting for the sign for departure.

Crescent suppressed a sigh of slight irritation as the Charizard that Riley seemed to have ownership over released itself from the pokeball and released a loud roar that made his sensitive ears ring and the leaves upon the tall oaks shudder. Though his principles demanded that he refrain from showing even slight disapproval, Count was obviously not above such things which was relayed via a snort towards the female Charizard as if telling her to approach with proper manners. Though Crescent smirked slightly as the female Charizard was returned to it's ball with slight convincing on Riley's behalf.
And the male had no need to turn and glance towards his companion as the chime of a Pokeball filled the air as well as the sound of two large wings giving a single flap. Despite the fact that considered himself fairly competent at interacting and socializing with strangers, it did not increase his like for the fact that he would be riding with Riley on their trip to Naru Town. At least it isn't far.. Crescent took comfort in that single attribute before straightening his posture and turning upon his heels towards his companion, his crimson hues reflecting the sight of Ayane's overprotective Salamance at her side which was something Crescent had come to see as nothing more then average. "I take it you won't be riding with us then?" the male inquired with a pleasant smile though the answer was already clearly presented.
"Then.." Crescent began once more as he gracefully mounted his Charizard that gave a distasteful glance towards Ryu before simply glancing towards in sky in preparation to become airborne. "Shall we be going?" he inquired with his gaze once more upon Riley.

She sighed internally, wondering how she always managed to get into these situations, endebting herself to strangers. Well, it wasn't really a debt, to be certain, but it was something that someone might call on her to repay some day. And of course, she'd do it. She walked forward with an air of caution, though she was confident. With the skill of a Charizard's trainer, she mounted the large Dragon, sitting behind Crescent, trying to ignore how awkward it was.
((Shoot me too, please. ))
