She wasn't ready for the gym battle yet. She needed more battling, more Pokemon partners. Then, maybe she'd be okay with the gym. But three low leveled Pokemon, one of whom refused to fight, wouldn't help her win a bagde. So here they were, on the first floor of the silver tower, hoping for a battle or two.
"Worst comes to worst, I'll just have the two of you battle." KL said, looking at her Pokemon. The snooty, stubborn, arrogant Taillow she had recently aquired, and the sweet, clumsy, nosy Ralts she had gotten just half an hour before him.
Lordy, they argued. It was like raising children. Only her Jirachi didn't argue, but he didn't speak much, not ever wanting to leave the comfort of her arms. His recent loss left him so broken... "Shut up, both of you! I swear!" They were arguing over who would get up the stairs faster. It had only been about four days, and she was already loosing her mind.

As both the Taillow and clumsy Ralts argued like little children, they were knocked over as a pink ball came tumbling down the stairs which gave a loud mew as it rolled past the Pokemon and trainer, spreading out on it's stomach with a panting sound coming from the small Skitty's mouth. However, the pink feline sat up, entirely oblivious to the trainer and her Pokemon until she turned to face them and then cocked her head to one side in confusion as to why they were even in Silver Tower.
Though in a moment of confusion and as the Pokemon seemed a bit flustered, the small Skitty dashed towards the Ralts in a Tackle attack!

Boo wiggled, trying to get out from underneath Teyl. <Get off of me, you ignorant bird brain!>[/color] She said, managing to get up. Just as she managed to stand, she was knocked back down by the Skitty.
<Nice, psycho. Real classy.>[/color] Teyl said, and KL glared at him. "Shut up, Teyl." She said, turning her attention back towards the battle that was just beginning. "Okay, Boo, now's the time to show off that new Thunder Bolt we've worked so hard with!" She said, and her Pokemon did as she was instructed, sending a flash of lightning at her opponent.

Not being the most graceful of Pokemon, the Skitty gave a yowl of agony as the powerful Thunder Bolt fired by the Ralts hit it's mark head on, knocking the kitten back against the ball, tumbling clumsily back onto her feet with teary eyes, momentarily taking a moment to lick a few tuffs of her black singed fur before looking towards the Ralts with a gaze like 'why did you do that?' but shook some shakes of her fur to allow a puff smoke to disperse from her pink coat. Instead of sticking in place, with still teary eyes, the Pokemon dashed towards Boo head first in a Zen Headbutt attack.

KL didn't notice the Skitty's emotional reaction. "Okay, Boo, use Thunder Bolt again!" She said, frowning when she noticed that her Ralts wasn't moving. "Get out of the way!" She said, wincing as the attack made contact. It knocked Boo down, and she slid a few feet away, struggling back to her feet. <She's making me feel guilty!>[/color] Boo said with a whine.
<She's messing with you! Keep it rolling!>[/color] Teyl said, flapping his wings. Boo gulped, looking at KL with a confused look. "Okay, use Psychic!" She said, and Boo made a face before complying, shooting a wave of psychic power.

Even though the Skitty made a clumsy attempt to dodge the Psychic attack, it was unavoidable with her level of power and agility [and overall grace]. It caused another sharp mew to escape her mouth along with more tears to seep from her eyes. However, though she was getting to a point of weakness, it did not prevent a fast recovery as the pinkish feline got back up upon her feet and aimed another Tackle at Boo, though this one was slightly slower.

Boo didn't want to do this. It was obvious. "Come on, Boo! You can do it! If we can't win here, we'll never win anywhere!" KL called, tightening her arms around the unresponsive Jirachi in her arms. He still hadn't spoken.
"Use Thunder Bolt again!" She said, watching her Ralts slump slightly, looking visibly uncomfortable. She really, really didn't want to. But to be a let down, so soon, that was unnacceptable. She waited for a moment, allowing the slow tackle to knock her down, and then she shot another Thunder Bolt.

Too close and too weak to evade, the Skitty was struck and once more knocked down but stood on wobbly legs though obviously had no more strength to put up a good fight as she planted her rear upon the tower's floor, panting in exhaustion. ~ Why are you doing this? I just went and fell down the stares because of some Pokemon attacking me.. ~ The Skitty began in a shaky, frightened voice as more tears slipped past her creamy and pinkish fur.
Wild Skitty is Now Catchable!

<I can't do it anymore!>[/color] Boo started wailing, bursting into tears. KL sighed. Leave it to her to choose the one Pokemon in the lab that wouldn't be able to defeat an enemy. >Oh, come on! She's practically out already!<[/color] Teyl chittered, and Boo glared at him. <Leave her alone!>[/color]
KL reached her hand to the side of her bag, grabbing a Pokeball. "We won't hurt you anymore." She said, gently tossing the ball at the weak looking Skitty. She crossed her fingers, holding her breath.

The Skitty looked up to the Ralts with saddened eyes that seemed permanately closed but had no time to utter out another word as the Pokeball touched her skin and warped her into the Pokeball via a line of red vapor. With that, the feline disappeared and with three shakes of the red and white sphere it halted with a small 'ping' that signified the capture of the female Skitty.

<Oh, now I'll never be able to speak to her! She's gonna think I'm a terrible person! I hate this!>[/color] Boo whined, looking at the ball on the ground. Teyl swooped down and grabbed it, bringing it back to his trainer's outstretched hand.
KL sighed, hugging Jirachi to her chest. "I'm sure she'll forgive you." She said, knowing the Pokemon was too weak to be released. She clicked the ball into place on her belt, looking at the staircase for a moment, then grinning. "Let's keep going." She said, starting on her way closer to the stairs. Teyl swooped ahead, Boo sitting on KL's shoulder, and Jirachi still non responsive in her arms.

As the group began to approach the stairs and nearly reached the first step, a pink blur dashed forward and sent loudly sent a warning snap of it's large jaws towards KL's ankles with an angered growl. A small Snubbull stood at the stairs, guarding the way and looking much more vicious and malicious then the Skitty they had just battled as it's long lips were drawn up in a snarl to reveal rows of razor sharp fangs. It gave a loud bark along with another growl before charging swiftly towards the Taillow, fangs beginning to buzz with electricity in a ThunderFang attack.

KL jumped back, gasping. "I wonder if this is the Pokemon that was after our friend Skitty..." She said, then the Snubbull started launching the Thunder Fang. "Teyl, whatever you do, don't let that hit you!"
Teyl flew up into the air, hoping he was safe enough to avoid being shocked. Super effective, thunder against bird. Not a good match up. <Come, on, Teyl! You can do this! Just don't get shocked![/color] Boo called, and Teyl glared at her. >Shut up!<[/color] He said, flittering away from her. "Okay, Teyl, use Peck!" KL called, watching. Not a good matchup at all. Teyl dove in, aiming for the Snubbull's back.

Giving an even louder snarl as his attack missed but as his anger heightened, it came to a prick as the Taillow's Peck attack hit. With a bark, the bull dog pup shot upwards with his jaw ; fangs now swirling with fire as he aimed a Fire Fang at the Taillow. ~This is my territory! My territory and you and your stupid trainer have come here to take it, I won't let you!~ the canine Pokemon barked viciously as he aimed the attack.

>You stupid freaking Snubbull! We didn't come to take anything! We're just training!<[/]i] Teyl said, then the Fire Fang hit him. He was encircled in flames for a moment, but he managed to escape, falling to the ground. He struggled up, feathers burned and singed.
"Uh.... Use Focus Energy." KL said, and the Taillow did as his trainer commanded. Hey, maybe the girl wasn't stupid after all.
