A thief's life was certainly different from any other. For one, there were some days where you could only eat the scraps of food you had left or attempt stealing from a cafeteria or some poor sap who wanted to pay for you and of course the biggest change in average life compared to the thieves was the role of police. Police that didn't just come up to you because you were going to receive some exemplary citizen award. They came after you with hounds and weapons to catch you and make so that your illegal freedom was snatched away.
However, that was if you were poor at your job. Kaitou had been pulling off this gig for quite awhile, and it had been what seemed like ages since the last time she stole from a kitchen. She got items that were worth some value and stole them, then sold them to a trainer or a shop that paid her cold hard cash ; her favorite thing in the world. Better then anything you'd ever find in life, and she had learned that at a very early age. "Nothing better.." she purred to herself as she easily hopped the signature giant trench within the earth that gave 'Hell's Trench' it's name. Though she had no use for it, the woman smiled brightly at the Fire Stone held within her hand. Her type of choice was water, being a Vaporeon morph, but this stone would certainly sell for a pretty penny at a shop or to some trainer wanting to evolve their Growlithes into majestic Arcanines or their Vulpix into a beautiful Ninetails.
"C'mon, let's get to a town. You deserve a treat for even finding this thing," Kaitou said with a laugh and a gentle pet to the Floatzel that stood beside her, baring the harsh heat with her trainer, giving soft almost motherly coos to her master that the female treated like her new born pup. But what Kaitou said was true, Moi had nearly slipped off a cliff but as Kaitou had caught her and pulled her up, the Floatzel had noticed the Fire Stone embedded within the cliff and took the chance to grab it. Being one of Kaitou's oldest Pokemon, she had learned what was valuable and what was just ordinary trash. While we're here though maybe.. Maybe catching a fire type wouldn't be so bad.. the female thief thought with a glance at an empty Pokeball and the fact that she was one short of full team. Water, Dragon, Ice.. Fire would practically complete it! "Moi!" the trainer barked in an orderly fashion, making the Floatzel swiftly snap from her day dreaming and meet eyes with Kaitou.
"Let's catch a Pokemon, shall we? A good old fire type, a firey original.. It'll have to learn our way but-" Kaitou's words were interrupted as Moi gave her a long lick to the top of her head, giving her trainer a cow's lick in her jet black hair.

Though there were several rocks, they were quite small, too small to hide behind. However, there was one that was just right, if the people were both in the right locations. And it just so happened that they were, what with the trainer and Pokemon completely across from the rock, and the puppy based Pokemon crouched behind it. Growling, it leaped from behind the boulder, baring its pearls as it dashed toward the trainer and Pokemon.

Without waiting for a command from Kaitou, Moi swiftly turned upon her light footed paws and opened her muzzle to reveal rows of absolutely deadly dazzling white fangs. Kaitou simply smirked before pocketing the Fire Stone and watching her Floatzel send a powerful jet of water at the wild Growlithe that had attempted to ambush them in a high powered Aqua Jet.
A Growlithe.. Perfect.. Kaitou purred mentally and was prepared as she gripped an empty Pokeball. Maybe she would be using that Fire Stone for herself after all, a majestic Arcanine blazing with glory in her team was better to her then a quick profit. And finally, whenever those goddamn policemen bother me, I'll show them my own hound! Kaitou thought with a proud smile that only a thief could wear as she watched Moi's attack hurtle towards the opposing Pokemon.

Snarling as the opponent attacked with an Aqua Jet, the puppy based Pokemon's jowls gaped for a split second, as fire arrived at its mouth. Even though it knew it was at a disadvantage with the water, it sent a Flamethrower at the Floatzel. A waste of time, but he was hoping to weaken it. With another growl, the Growlithe sped up. Fire engulfed it, as it barreled towards the opposing Pokemon in a Flame Wheel.

Halting as the Growlithe sent his own attack at her, Moi swiftly moved from the path of the flamethrower, feeling the heat of the fire attack as it melted the rock below and as she switched from two legs to all fours to maximize her speed. With a much higher agility stat then the Growlithe, the Floatzel did not halt her mad dash until she knew that she was well out of the way of her opponent's attack. With no need for orders, Moi shifted once more to her two hind legs before sending another Aqua Jet at Growlithe from her gaping maw.

If a Pokemon could curse, the Growlithe would have. With a snarl as both attacks missed, it abruptly halted, the flames from the Flame Wheel immediately dissipating as it whirled around - a mistake to pause. With a yelp, it was hit directly by the Aqua Jet, thrown backwards quite roughly and rolling to tiredly get to its paws. Growling and baring its pearl, it attempted to make itself seem larger, in hopes of making it not seem at such a disadvantage against the Floatzel. Soon, it broke into a dash, bolting towards the water Pokemon as another Flamethrower lurched from its jowls and toward the opponent.

With a smirk, the Floatzel planted her paws in place and once more lowered herself to all fours as she ducked her head into her thick orange and cream colored fur, allowing the Flamethrower to connect with her but feeling little then a bit of discomfort due to her resistance to fire attacks. It was all apart of a much bigger plan as Moi let waves of water slowly engulf her body in preparation for another Aqua Jet attack ; an average one. Long ago, when she was still a young Buizel and one of Kaitou's first Pokemon, she had been taught on how to manipulate Aqua Jet so that it worked like Water Gun, but much stronger. So now the water otter prepared and as the Growlithe grew close enough, she allowed the water to thrive, engulfing her body in a blue wave of water as she bolted through the FlameThrower, destroying the flames in a wave of steam and lunging towards the Growlithe.

A very furious snarl ripped itself from the puppy based Pokemon's throat. It didn't want to win; it would mean losing this territory, and losing to a Trainer of all things. It despised trainers with a passion, as well as the Pokemon that served them. Why would they obey the humans?! Abruptly discontinuing his Flamethrower as the otter based Pokemon barreled toward him, the Growlithe allowed flames to swiftly engulf him, before he broke into a mad dash toward the Pokemon, keeping low to the ground in hopes of, if he got to the Pokemon, he could attack it from below with a Flamethrower and Flame Wheel combination; his hopes weren't high though, as his confidence slowly dissipated.

Paying little to no mind to the puppy Pokemon's attack that hurtled towards her own, the two collided and both attacks hit, sending both of them flying though Moi was able to swiftly recoil and land upon her hind legs, still in an offensive stance and was about to prepare a Razor Wind however Kaitou stepped beside her Pokemon the glow that began to engulf the blue fins upon her arms faded though the Floatzel did not release the battle ready tension she held within her muscles. "Growlithe," Kaitou began to address the opposing Pokemon, a straight posture and a very dominant aura held around the proud thief, her eyes holding a very serious tone with their dark shades. "Join me, and I will evolve you and it will be a better life then out here in this hell. What are you afraid of? Humans?"Kaitou inquired with a slight smirk before shedding her ragged old black jacket and setting it upon the heated ground to allow her pale skin to bare witness to the sunlight however a rather odd event occurred with the removal of her jacket and the light hitting her uncovered arms ; a slight sparkling sensation that you may of seen on a Vaporeon's scales in sunny days like this.

Afraid? Rage surged through the puppy based Pokemon's body. Oh, he would have paid more attention, more thought, to her previous words, if only she hadn't asked if he was afraid of humans. He wasn't afraid of humans; he only despised them and their ways, especially trainers. They snatched Pokemon from their own habitats, for their own use! He did not care that she was a Vaporeon Pokemorph. Or did he? After all, if it had been any normal, human trainer... he would have attacked them, despite the odds. But here, he was remaining still, even if still in that infuriated battle stance. This Hell was his life. But the atmosphere about her seemed to promise her words were higher than the life he had. Should he join her? As he debated, his stance began to relax, but his pearls remained bared. It was decided; they would make their move before he decided anything.

Kaitou carefully watched the Growlithe, not prepared to let her words of truth to win her battle entirely. "Of course, if you cannot comply with my offer, then I will prove to you our strength. And you can either choose to join us or you may leave with my best wishes," Kaitou stated as in the same moment her words ended Moi dashed forward with truly awing speed only deemed upon Floatzels, running towards the Growlithe however in mid run she leaped into the air, her blue fins once more glowing with a white aura before firing a powerful Razor Wind towards their enemy.

Power, she said? Could it really be better than the power he held here? For a moment, his lips slipped over his pearls again, as the Growlithe contemplated. However, he immediately broke into an aggressive stance as the Floatzel aimed a Silver Wind at him. With a low growl, he sent a Flamethrower as a counter attack, before breaking into a dash. As soon as he reached her, he kept low, avoiding a kick in the cranium; she was, after all, in the air as he ducked and propelled himself to the trainer. Glancing up at her with fierce ebonies. 'I will accompany you to see what it is like, but only if you will release me if it does not suit me,' his eyes were trying to say. He didn't know if he could trust her, but, perhaps sacrificing the freedom to roam here and rule this territory to go with the trainer was for the better.

Hissing as her Razor Wind was evaded by her enemy, the Floatzel landed upon the ground and as she caught sight of the puppy Pokemon dashing towards her trainer, the sea otter nearly lunged at the Growlithe with a murder rate level of savagery until she paid note to Kaitou's glance that order her other wise, the trainer catching Growlithe's message. "That's fine, the life that we live is not for everyone and if you become nothing but baggage then you will be wild once more, since speed and strength is what keeps us alive with little room for error," Kaitou said in a serious tone before taking a Pokeball, clicking the center and allowing a Flygon to appear from the ball.
At the sight of a foreign Pokemon, the Flygon gave a harsh growl and raised his tail in preparation for an Earthquake attack but again, Kaitou raised her hand to halt the dragon's motions and also raised up the Fire Stone before gesturing it to the Growlithe. "With this, you will evolve into an Arcanine. And with this you sign a contract, to work your hardest and become not a Pokemon ; but our partner," Kaitou purred, also taking out an empty Pokeball should the Growlithe agree.

This trainer was... different. Especially when the puppy based Pokemon further observed her atmosphere. At her words, and her actions, a minuscule smile came to his lips. Ignoring the hostility of the Pokemon, the Growlithe almost puffed itself up. With a nod that meant, 'That's fine,' it glanced fiercely at the trainer. If they did have a better life, they could prove it to him - and he still had a chance of freedom if their life did not suit him. That was suitable.

Kaitou gave a slight smile before returning Moi to her Pokeball and putting her jacket back onto her features, returning the ball to her jacket before mounting her Flygon and motioning for the Growlithe to join her upon the Pokemon. "Might as well keep you small for the trip back to town so Mamoru can carry you. When we get to the city, we'll get you evolved and you can have a few lessons in what it's like to live like a phantom,"Kaitou stated with a slight laugh.
